Laser Gum Contouring
Many people have teeth that look too "short" due to the relationship between their teeth and gums. This creates a "gummy" smile.
Gum contouring removes some of the tissue to eliminate a "gummy" smile. Gum Contouring involves trimming away excess gum tissue with a special laser which also seals blood vessels, keeping bleeding at a minimum. After the procedure takes place, the gum is left to heal and the results are most often immediate. In some cases where more gum tissue is removed, the healing process may take longer.
Ultimately this procedure creates a consistent even gum line that results in a better looking smile.
